are you saying your choice is weirder because a woman is on the cover, won at chess, or that style of dress was at one point in time, appropriate?

Hey, knock off the dress comments. I'd wear something like that at this point in time.
whatever the reasons, SI is a much different magazine nowadays.
although, I'd rather see a year of grizzly bears and no-name chess champions than one more Kobe cover.
