Chicks dig the long ball

The Red Sox gave up middling pitcher Bronson Arroyo last month to get young slugger Wily Mo Pena from the Reds.

Since coming to the Sox, Pena is 1-for-5 with three strikeouts. He also had a ball bounce out of his glove and into the visitors bullpen at Fenway for a home run.

Since moving to the National League, Arroyo has gone 2-0 with a 1.98 ERA. He has also hit two home runs in four at-bats with a walk, batting .500 and slugging a stunning 2.000.

Maybe the Sox missed the boat on Bronson. They should've left him in the rotation once a week and put him in right field the rest of the time. His defense couldn't be much worse then Wily's.

Looks like a pretty bad trade so far. With Trot out the next week, we'll see what Willie Mo can do.
