What soothes the sting of a Pats playoff loss?

Schadenfreude.

Anticipation of the Steelers-Colts game gave me nightmares of the Apocolypse. What happens when two epic choke artists meet, and one must win?

Needless to say, they did not fail to disappoint. Indy took the quick choke lead by giving up 14 points with the quickness. Pittsburgh, protecting its reputation as a choke artist of no mean repute, tried valiantly to blow an insurmountable 4th quarter lead, brilliantly fumbling on a game winning goal line run.

However, the choke gods delivered the loss to Indianapolis by granting Vanderjagt a last minute opportunity to lose the game, and he behaved as we have come to expect, kicking the FG ‘attempt’ a good 10 miles wide right. Indy chokes.

Classic.

For at least 5 hours after the game, I felt the almost uncontrollable urge to throw furniture and break glass. I haven't been so angry since ... well, about this same time last year.

I really expected more out of my favorite liquored up kicker, but the game should never have come down to that play at all.

If only my Colts would have decided to play sometime before the 4th quarter.

*Sigh* One of these years ...
